Let’s Get Started- Learning Stiches

Learning to crochet can be tough! I don’t consider myself to be a great teacher but I might be able to help you out with a few things.

*SC,sk1,dc2 same stitch,sk1,dc2* continue to the end = *Single crochet, skip one stitch, 2 double crochets in the same stitch, skip one stitch and double crochet 2 in the same stitch* the * means do that sequence until the end of the row*.  Say what?  Looks like a foreign language!

Learning the stitches is only the beginning and when you master one, teach yourself a new one.  All Free Crochet is a great place to find patterns,  watch videos to learn all of the beginner stitches and more.  I put together a list of US crochet terminology and abbreviations that are used more often.

I hope you give crochet a try!
