Vintage Cosmetic Set

Vintage Cosmetic Set

One of the things I love about shopping thrift and or vintage shops is the ideas I get from just looking around. I tend to think of things in a display mindset. What could I do with this? What do I already have that I could pair with this? More often then not I can come up with something. I gathered some of my cute vintage items and created The Vintage Cosmetic Set that includes nail polish, lipstick, bobby pins, tortoise shell plastic hair forks, costume daisy necklace, and a hand crocheted pink doily. Another great find.

Renovation Update

It’s been three weeks of renovation I figured it was time I post an update on how it’s going. We have seen so much change in such a short time with the demo process. Green carpet pulled up, barn board taken down from the walls and window display areas and saved for a future project, brick wall exposed and treated, loft area torn down, ceiling tiles removed, retail counter moved near it’s new location, sugar plum wall paper all removed, kitchen wall opened up into the office area, and apartment wallpaper torn down. Happy 2016!

New Year= New Start! Just a few quick updates: I’m going to be a Grandma! Bill and I are so happy and excited for Sam & Jeff! Our new little one is expected June 3rd. So, you know what that means.. another fun filled summer for our family! Santa was goood to me this Christmas!  I got a Cricut and a Cinch binding tool! It’s been fun messing around with them. Mr. & Mrs.

Thank You Mr. & Mrs. McCracken

Another great wedding took place this summer!  Jessica (our daughter) and Kory! Jessica asked me to make a few things for her wedding as well.  This was a beautiful wedding with touches of burlap, lace and wood.  It was so much fun to make paper flowers for the mason jar candle lights, repurpose an old suitcase for cards, and make a flower garland for the entry way at the reception. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. McCracken for letting mom add a few paper touches here and there.
