My Crochet Story

Grandma taught me how to crochet when I was little. Although I could not crochet, nor had the patience at a young age, I managed to master the single crochet stitch and made countless chains of “snakes”. Today, I love my “I” hook and pass the evenings away crocheting something or trying out new stitches I found online. It’s been many years since Grandma taught me to make those snakes and I think of her often when I am crocheting for my littles. Probably why grandma crocheted too. I wish I could ask her what her favorite hook size

Happy 2016!

New Year= New Start! Just a few quick updates: I’m going to be a Grandma! Bill and I are so happy and excited for Sam & Jeff! Our new little one is expected June 3rd. So, you know what that means.. another fun filled summer for our family! Santa was goood to me this Christmas!  I got a Cricut and a Cinch binding tool! It’s been fun messing around with them. I’ve wire bound two journals from old book covers I was saving. Sorry no pictures, yet. The Cricut is turning out to be a little bit of a learning

Thank You Mr. & Mrs. McCracken

Another great wedding took place this summer!  Jessica (our daughter) and Kory! Jessica asked me to make a few things for her wedding as well.  This was a beautiful wedding with touches of burlap, lace and wood.  It was so much fun to make paper flowers for the mason jar candle lights, repurpose an old suitcase for cards, and make a flower garland for the entry way at the reception. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. McCracken for letting mom add a few paper touches here and there.
